Shop Details
The Seed Shop is a small market stall with a blue and white striped canopy covering the roof. Behind the counter stands Sam, an interactive NPC who manages the seed sales. The stall has a simple and welcoming look that fits perfectly within the farming area.
Mechanics
Players can purchase seeds using Sheckles or Robux, and some seeds can also be gifted through Robux. This makes it easier for friends to share rare or valuable seeds with one another.
Sam’s Shop uses a rotating stock system. The available seeds change after each rotation, so not every type of crop is always listed. However, some basic seeds such as Carrot, Strawberry, and Blueberry are always available, which helps new players start farming easily.
The main stock refreshes every 5 minutes, while the friendship stock updates once every hour. Each refresh gives players another chance to find rare seeds. The higher the rarity of a seed, the lower its chance of appearing in the next rotation.
All Seed Shop stocks are shared globally, which means that every player across all servers sees the same list of seeds. However, each purchase is handled individually on the client side, so buying a seed does not affect what others see.
Players who want to refresh the stock immediately can do so for 79 Robux. Each restock is a one-time refresh and does not stay active permanently.
Besides Sam’s Shop, other stores in the game include the Gear Shop, Pet Eggs, and Cosmetics Shop. When a player hovers the cursor over a seed, the item expands and shakes to show the fruit it produces. This replaced the older spinning preview animation.
During seasonal events such as the Summer Harvest and Mega Summer Harvest, Tom’s Shop temporarily replaces Sam’s Shop and features a different seed lineup.

Seed Shop Trivia
- Starting from August 30, 2025, every plot can hold up to 800 seeds, and this capacity increases by 800 with each extra saved slot. Players with four slots can therefore keep as many as 3,200 seeds in total.
- Developers and administrators have the ability to force a seed restock in the Seed Shop through special admin commands.
- The user interface for Sam’s Shop uses the Comic Neue Bold 700 font, giving it a friendly and playful appearance.
- Before one of the major updates, players could manually trigger seed restocks, a feature that was later removed to balance the gameplay.
- Peach Seeds once appeared in the shop’s rotation but were quietly removed soon after their introduction.
- During the Summer Harvest Event (June 21 to July 5, 2025), Tom temporarily took over the Seed Shop and offered a seasonal selection of seeds.
- Earlier versions of the shop had a naming inconsistency where some items lacked the word “Seed” at the end of their name. This applied to Orange Tulip, Ember Lily, Sugar Apple, and Burning Bud. Later patches standardized the names, leaving Crimson Thorn Seed as the only one still missing the word “Seed” in its display title.
- Just before the Summer Harvest Event ended, players noticed Sam selling summer-exclusive seeds, which was a short-lived but memorable moment.
- Occasionally, players may encounter a display glitch where the Seed Shop loads with only one visible seed an Apple Seed with 0 stock, a 10 Sheckle price, and a mismatched icon. This happens when the player’s data fails to load correctly.
- Every Prismatic, Mythical, and Transcendent seed currently produces a multi-harvest crop.
- After the Summer Harvest Event concluded, Corn was missing from the shop rotation but later returned in a future patch.
- The Prismatic tier contains the most crops in Sam’s Shop, while Tom’s Shop has a higher number of Legendary seeds.
- The Robux icons for seeds are inconsistent in design — some are tilted, some have thicker outlines, and others are off-centered.
- Based on update 1.19.0, the odds of seeing every seed available in stock at the same time are around 1 in 3.5 × 10³⁵, making it virtually impossible.
- The Bamboo Seed has the highest chance of growing huge, sitting at 2.86%, according to the Beanstalk Event data.
- Players who gift Sam a cake on July 2 (in-game calendar) are rewarded with a bundle of 2–3 Divine Seeds and 2–3 random Prismatic Seeds.
- The Seed Shop is among the few that can be restocked by the Red Panda NPC.
- When the shop refreshes, seed slots will glow green for stocked items or red for empty ones.
- Before update 1.27.0, only six seeds overlapped between Sam’s and Tom’s Shops: Carrot, Strawberry, Blueberry, Tomato, Watermelon, and Sugar Apple. The Daily Deals feature later expanded this overlap by randomly including other seeds from Tom’s lineup.
