Pet Eggs Overview
In Grow a Garden, Pet Eggs are the primary way to obtain new pets. Players can purchase them from the Pet Egg Shop, which refreshes its stock every 30 minutes, or discover them through special events, seasonal rewards, and crafting recipes.
Hatching Process
Players must equip the egg from their inventory and place it on an open plot in their garden. Once placed, the egg will gradually hatch over time, eventually revealing a pet with unique traits and abilities.
Faster Hatching Options:
- Use Robux to instantly skip the hatch timer.
- 🌱Certain pets reduce hatch time, including Kiwis, Chickens, Roosters, and more.
Egg Slots & Upgrades
Default Slots: Each player can hatch up to 3 eggs simultaneously.
- +5 slots from shop purchases or pet trading.
- +5 slots from Ascension Shop upgrades (40 Garden Coins each).
Maximum Capacity: 13 active hatching eggs.
Appearance
All Pet Eggs share a similar oval shape, though each one features its own unique design elements and color patterns that reflect the pet inside.
Some may have glowing accents, textures, or markings that make them easily recognizable in the garden.
Trivia
During the Summer Update, several familiar eggs received temporary redesigns. The Uncommon Egg, Rare Egg, and Legendary Egg were replaced with their summer versions called the Common Summer Egg, Rare Summer Egg, and Paradise Egg. They later returned to their normal forms during the second half of the Beanstalk Event.
The Mega Harvest Update added the Bee Egg to the Pet Shop, introducing new pets themed around honey and farming activities.
In the Prehistoric Update, the Bee Egg was moved from the Pet Shop to the Honey Merchant, making it available only through that special vendor.
With the Pet Mutations Update, the egg stand was removed and replaced with a dedicated Pet Egg Shop, similar in layout to the Seed Shop and Gear Shop.
Every pet in Grow a Garden can only hatch from one unique egg type. No pet can appear from multiple egg categories.
The Anti Bee Egg is the only standard egg in the game that can be crafted, making it special among all obtainable eggs.
Eggs released during limited events have a specific hatch time of about 4 hours and 10 minutes, which sets them apart from normal shop eggs.
