Overview
The Ostrich is a Legendary pet introduced during the Summer Update. It can be hatched from the Paradise Egg with a 40% chance, making it one of the more common Legendary pets. Despite its availability, it’s considered extremely useful due to its Eggsperience ability, which grants an age bonus to newly hatched pets.
Appearance
The Ostrich stands out with its long neck, slender legs, and two broad wings that feature white-tipped feathers. Its body and most of its wings are black, while its neck, face, and feet are a soft beige tone. The face is expressive, with black eyes, a large pale-orange beak, and pink cheeks, giving it a friendly and lively look.
Traits
- Eggsperience: Grants pets hatched from eggs an age bonus. This ability can stack with other active Ostriches, allowing faster progression and higher starting pet levels.
How to Obtain
- The Ostrich is obtainable from the Paradise Egg during the Summer Update.
Ostrich Trivia & Fun Facts
- A past bug caused the Ostrich to not increase pet weight according to level, severely limiting stat gains.
- Another bug allowed gifting and re-placing Ostriches to raise levels abnormally high (up to level 60). The ability would stop working after this exploit.
- Pet stats like ability cooldowns and chances depend on weight, not level — though some pets (like Triceratops) are exceptions.
- The Ostrich’s maximum age bonus is capped at 10, meaning leveling or hatching a Giant variant beyond this point has no benefit.
- Multiple Ostriches can stack their age bonuses, allowing newly hatched pets to instantly reach level 80 (with 8 maxed Ostriches).
- Despite being common in the Paradise Egg, it’s valued for its stackable and time-saving ability.
