Overview
The Mimic Octopus is a Mythical Pet introduced during the Summer Harvest Event. It’s known for its special mimicry ability that lets it copy other pets’ powers. Players can hatch it from the Paradise Egg.
Appearance
The Mimic Octopus features a blocky, cube-shaped head with a cheerful smile, bright yellow eyes, and six squared tentacles extending from its body. The head slightly bulges toward the back, giving it a distinct aquatic charm.
Traits
- Mimicry: Every ~20 minutes, the Mimic Octopus copies and performs an ability from another pet within the player’s garden. If the copied pet has two abilities, only the first one is triggered. It cannot mimic certain pets such as the French Fry Ferret, Green Bean, Red Panda, non-timed pets, and other Mimic Octopuses.
How to Obtain
- The Mimic Octopus can be hatched from the Paradise Egg with a 1% hatch chance during the Summer Harvest Event.

- Although it has a 1% hatch rate from the Paradise Egg, it remains Mythical, not Divine.
- The Mimic Octopus’s AI glitches when copying a Triceratops, causing it to freeze.
- It was released in Update 1.11.0 and later adjusted to exclude mutation abilities in Update 1.14.0.
- In Update 1.20.0, the Paradise Egg was relocated to the Summer Merchant.
