Overview

Sheckles are the primary in-game currency used in Grow a Garden. Players use them to purchase various items, seeds, gear, pets, and event-related goods throughout the game.

How to Obtain

  • By selling crops or pets at the Sell Stuff Stand.
  • By selling pets directly at the Pet Shop.
  • Certain pets, like the Mole, passively generate Sheckles over time.
  • During Sheckle Rain events, players can collect free Sheckles falling from the sky.
  • Failing to steal a fruit also grants a small amount of Sheckles.
  • They can be acquired from the Forever Pack and were once purchasable through the Robux Shop.

Usage

  • Purchasing items from the Seed Shop, Gear Shop, and Pet Egg Shop.
  • Buying cosmetics to decorate your garden.
  • Trading with other players for rare items.
  • Unlocking certain event features or rewards.

Sheckles Trivia

  • Players can view their total Sheckles either at the bottom-left of the screen or on the leaderboard in the top-right corner.
  • Sheckles are used to buy items from the Seed Shop, Gear Shop, and Pet Egg Shop.
  • They are also used as currency in multiple events, including the Easter Event 2025, Lunar Glow, 4th of July, Prehistoric, Zen, Beanstalk, Fairy, and Fall Market events.
  • Having friends in the same server grants a +10% Sheckle boost per friend, up to a maximum of 40%.
  • The in-game symbol for Sheckles is “¢”.
  • The game uses short numeric notations like K (thousand), M (million), B (billion), T (trillion), QA (quadrillion), QI (quintillion), and SX (sextillion). Older versions displayed larger numbers differently.
  • The name “Sheckles” is inspired by the ancient Mesopotamian Shekel, a coin used around 300 BC and still used in modern Israel as the New Israeli Shekel.
  • A temporary limit of 10QA Sheckles was introduced on August 29th, 2025, due to currency hoarding but was later removed.
  • On September 3rd, 2025, Sheckles became tradeable again with a 10% tax, which was removed a week later after the Garden Ascension update.
  • A duplication glitch once allowed players to stockpile massive amounts of Sheckles through exploits involving pets, sprinklers, and mutation farming.
